Hello void, how’re you coping?
It’s hard, isn’t it? All this not-doing-anything.
I’m getting quite good at not-doing-anything. My watch nags me to do things, but I click its little button and speak soothing words at it: “Shush little watch. I’ll stand up later. I might not close my rings today.” My watch gets anxious about these things, so that I don’t have to. Outsourced digital anxiety.
When the sun shines I say to the family - “That shadow looks interesting, I’ll take a photo of that.” But they’re all busy on their Zoom calls or their Discord games / viewing parties, so really I’m just talking to myself.
But you don’t mind me doing that, do you void?
You’re getting used to it.
